Coverage built
around the business
you actually run
Five service lines under one roof. Each one designed around how real businesses operate, with the people, tools, and carrier relationships to make sure your coverage fits the work.
No two businesses face the same risks
Off-the-shelf coverage works fine until something goes wrong. Then the gaps show up: an exclusion no one explained, a sub-limit that doesn’t match the exposure, a policy structure that made sense for someone else’s business but not for yours.
We do the work to understand the business before we recommend the coverage. That starts with conversations, not forms. It ends with a program that fits how you actually operate, not how a template thinks you operate.
Five lines, one team
Whether you need a single policy or a full program, you work with the same people every time. Here's what we write.
01/ Commercial Insurance
The core of most business insurance programs. Property, general liability, commercial auto, workers' compensation, inland marine, umbrella and excess, cyber, professional liability, and employment practices liability (EPLI). We build these as a coordinated program rather than a stack of separate policies, which means one team handles renewals, one team handles claims, and the coverage actually works together when you need it.

02/ Builder's Risk
Coverage that follows the project, not the policy year. Single-shot policies for individual projects, reporting forms for businesses with ongoing construction activity. We handle soft costs, change-in-conditions reviews, and the questions estimators actually ask. Whether you're a general contractor, a property owner, or a developer, the policy structure matches how your project is actually being built.

03/ Surety Bonds
Performance and payment bonds for public and private work, plus license, court, and miscellaneous bonds where the work calls for them. We approach bonding the way a banker approaches credit: relationship-led, financials-aware, and ready when the bid window opens. Bonding capacity grows with the business, and we work with you on the program over time.

04/ Employee Benefits
Health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. Currently delivered through a strategic partnership built for employer groups across industries, with plans to bring this fully in-house as CRS Group grows. Whether you're staffing twelve people or two hundred, the benefits program is built around the workforce you actually have.

05/ Personal Lines
For business owners who want one team handling personal coverage alongside the business: auto, home, valuables, and personal umbrella. A natural extension of the commercial relationship for higher-end clients who prefer one point of contact instead of three.

Coverage that fits
Most insurance gets sold from a quote. We start from the business.
We Listen
We start with a conversation about how the business actually runs: what you do, where the work happens, who's on the payroll, what's kept you up at night in the last twelve months. No forms first.
We Assess
We review your current policies (if you have them), your loss runs, and the exposures your business actually carries. We flag gaps, overlaps, and anything that doesn't match the way you operate. You see the analysis, not just the recommendation.
We Recommend
We bring back a coverage program structured around what we learned, with the carriers we think fit your business best. You get options where they help, a clear recommendation where it matters, and the numbers in plain English.
Honest about what's
not for us
We don't pretend to write everything. There are categories of insurance we don't currently handle, and there are situations where a different specialist agency is a better fit. When that's the case, we'll tell you up front and, where we can, point you toward someone who does that work well.
What we don't currently write
Aviation hull and liability, marine cargo for international shipping, very high-hazard surplus lines without an established broker relationship, and personal lines for clients without an active commercial program with us.
What we evaluate case by case
Cannabis operations, large standalone trucking fleets, hospitality with significant entertainment exposure, and accounts with substantial loss history that need carrier-by-carrier conversations.
We work across
all industries
Every industry faces different risks, coverage requirements, and operational challenges. We work with businesses across construction, professional services, retail, education, and beyond, providing insurance solutions tailored to how each industry actually operates.

Common questions before you switch
If you're considering moving your coverage to CRS Group, these are the things people ask most often.
For a standard commercial program, most quotes come back within a week of receiving your current policies and loss runs. Builder's Risk and Surety can move faster, sometimes within 48 hours, depending on the project and the markets involved. We'll tell you what to expect when we start the conversation.
We can still work with you. We'll review your current coverage, identify any gaps or overlaps, and put together a recommendation that takes effect when your current policies renew. There's no charge for the review, and no obligation to switch.
Most businesses do. Claims history affects which carriers will write the account and at what terms, but it rarely makes coverage impossible. We work with carriers across the risk spectrum and bring carrier-by-carrier conversations to your specific situation, rather than treating loss history as a single yes-or-no question.
Sometimes. Surplus lines are written when a risk doesn't fit the standard admitted market, usually because of size, history, or operational complexity. We have relationships with surplus markets and use them when they're the right fit. We don't lead with them, and we're honest when a standard market is the better answer.
We work with a broad panel of admitted and surplus carriers across the lines we write. We don't publish the panel for competitive reasons, but if there's a specific carrier you'd like us to consider for your account, ask us directly. The right carrier depends on your business, not on a brand preference.
You get certificates, a client portal login, and a direct line to the team. From there, we stay close: renewal reviews, mid-term changes, and the resources we build for our clients over time. The work doesn't stop once the policy is in place, that's when it actually starts mattering.
Like most independent agencies, we're compensated by the carriers through commissions built into the premium. You don't pay us separately for placement work. For very large or complex accounts, we'll sometimes work on a fee basis where it makes sense, that's a conversation we have up front, never after the fact.
