Get a QuotePersonal coverage that
fits a business owner's life
Business owners face personal exposures that off-the-shelf personal insurance often doesn’t handle well: multiple vehicles, a primary home and a second home, valuables that exceed standard sub-limits, and umbrella coverage that needs to sit cleanly over both personal and commercial liability. We write personal lines as part of the broader relationship, not as a separate product.
The lines we write
Personal vehicles, including primary cars, second vehicles, classic cars, and the supporting structures for households with multiple drivers and varying use patterns.
Primary residences, second homes, and the property-level coverage that protects your personal assets. We pay particular attention to dwelling limits, personal property sub-limits, and the endorsements that matter for higher-value homes.
Scheduled personal property for jewelry, fine art, collectibles, firearms, and the items that exceed standard homeowners sub-limits. Coverage is broader and more flexible when valuables are scheduled.
Additional liability limits over your auto, home, and (where applicable) commercial coverage. Most business owners need more personal umbrella than they have, typically because the asset base grew faster than the liability program.
Personal coverage,
for anyone who needs it.
Personal Lines is a standalone product we offer to individuals, home, auto, umbrella, and the rest of the personal coverages you'd expect. You don't need to be a commercial client to work with us on the personal side.
For our clients, the value is straightforward:
Situations we handle often
-
An individual that is not satisfied with their current broker, pricing or coverages and would like to make a change.
-
A growing business owner's personal asset base has outpaced their umbrella limits, and the umbrella from the auto carrier doesn't extend over the commercial liability exposures.
-
A business owner purchases a second home or a piece of art, and their current homeowners policy has sub-limits that don't cover the new exposure.
Common questions before you switch
Specific to Employee Benefits.
Generally, no. Personal Lines is a service we extend to our commercial clients as part of the broader relationship. For clients who don't have a commercial program with us, we can refer to other agencies that specialize in personal lines.
Yes, including homes that fall above standard market thresholds. We work with carriers that specialize in higher-value homes and the coverages that come with them.
Most personal umbrellas don't extend over commercial exposures, and most commercial umbrellas don't extend over personal exposures. We structure the two, so the gap between them is closed, either through an excess endorsement or through a separate excess policy.
